Rob's Cancer Journey

Rob started his prostate cancer journey in February of 2018, one month after deciding to get healthier by cutting out sugar and Diet Coke! He felt better immediately as far as feeling less inflamed and having more energy. He had no idea at the time that his eating habits would be changed forever!

In May of 2018, Rob was told that he should have a biopsy right away and possibly surgery and radiation treatment. It was then that Rob decided to check other options first, so we spent time at Sunridge Medical Center in Scottsdale, AZ, and with Greg at Nature's Finest Natural Foods in Mesa, AZ to see if there were other alternatives. We learned SO MUCH and it never stopped after that. Rob read 10+ books about treating cancer naturally, we watched as many documentaries as we could find. Rob started taking many natural supplements by mouth and intravenously. We learned about the importance of changing his diet, juicing, fasting, IV therapies (Vit. C & Mistletoe) and supplements that boosted his immune system. We also used Chris Wark's Square One cancer healing protocol from: https://www.chrisbeatcancer.com

We had learned through our research about alternative treatments for his diagnosis, but it was only available in countries outside of the U.S. Our friend, Eileen, found Oasis of Hope Hospital in Tijuana so we called them and received a medical plan of attack within a few days.
We had decided then, that Oasis of Hope would be Plan A for Rob since he had just spent two years boosting up his immune system, and chemotherapy at Mayo Clinic would be plan B. The chemotherapy regimen that the Mayo oncologist was recommending was something Rob knew he couldn't handle while our daughter was starting her career path with him. The regimen of both natural and conventional treatments recommended by Oasis of Hope, including the importance of quality of life, the most important goal of Oasis of Hope, sounded like it was God's plan for us to go...

During our twenty-day stay at Oasis of Hope Hospital in July 2020, Rob was healing physically, mentally and spiritually. I often share that I arrived there crying because I didn't know what to expect. I was nervous and worried. But then, I left crying because I wasn't ready to leave this loving, caring and healing hospital with wonderful doctors, nurses, medical staff and new friends that I could pray for... I was so excited to go back!

Six months after our first visit to Oasis of Hope, we received the good news that there was no longer any evidence of disease, how incredible! During our recent visit (1/23), Rob's blood results & scans continue to show this miraculous healing. The doctors at Oasis do have high expectations that they can help give their patients a longer and better quality of life. However, they do give God ALL the glory when tumors completely disappear!
In November of 2021, we became group leaders for HealingStrong, a natural healing support group to share our story and learn from others who are interested in healing naturally from any disease, not just cancer. We also offer the meeting for those who are caregivers or for people who want to learn how to live a more healthy life to prevent disease. Please see the HealingStrong tab for meeting details.
It's now been 6.5 years since Rob's cancer journey started, it's been quite an adventure of learning, sharing and trusting.
Robert passed away on Sept. 4, 2024, after his stage 4 cancer returned, we continue to praise God for the extra years Rob was given, he lived them to the fullest and taught us how to trust God and be thankful for where this journey has taken us, led us and blessed us.
