We're often reminded that to heal ourselves, foo is often the best medicine! Whole foods and minimally processed foods can indeed be the best medicine, but we must also remember that food can also be poison, and I believe that sugar is just that! I've read many articles about the sugar link to cancer, the one linked below is an easy read and very enlightening! Of course, sugar isn't the sole reason people get cancer, but I believe that sugar definitely feeds cancer.
Robert (my healthy hubby) believes his prostate cancer diagnosis is related to being addicted to sugar. The difference he's felt before and after his sugar addiction is just amazing!
Before cutting sugar:
~ Low energy (even after sleeping 9 - 10 hours/night)
~ Indegestion/Reflux
~ Sleep Apnea
~ Inflammation/pain in joints
~ High cancer cell/blood marker test
After cutting sugar:
~ 35 pound weight loss (not just from cutting sugar, but mostly)
~ Energy that lasts all day (he says he felt like a teenager when he first cut it out)
~ No more Zantac or Prilosec
~ No more C-pap machine for sleep apnea (amazing, he used to take that darn thing everywhere!)
~ No more stiffness in the morning, now he just gets up from bed and starts his day!!
~ Reduced cancer cell/blood markers!
