Benefits of Lemon Water

I'm definitely a morning person, and one thing I look forward to upon arising, and before my cup of coffee, is a 12 oz cup of warm lemon water. I especially enjoy knowing that toxins are being flushed from my digestive tract, but also knowing that lemons are full of vitamin C (which boosts our immune system), vitamin B, potassium, calcium, magnesium, antioxidants and iron, give me confidence in starting my morning off right. Pairing lemon juice with green tea is also recommended for many nutritional benefits and can double the absorption of antioxidants in green tea. This is another great way to start your morning off if you're not a coffee drinker, but rather enjoy tea in the morning. I enjoy a cup or two of green tea throughout my day. Knowing that natural foods like lemons are also linked to reducing pain and fight inflammation, reminds me I can still keep sipping and running!
